Finding the products we need in suburbia can be the biggest challenge of the Paleo diet. Becca works full time and goes to law school at night and Katie spends all day reigning in 3-5 year olds while freelancing as a photographer on the side. There are not enough hours in the day to do these things, have a social life, see your family, and prepare Paleo meals/track down ingredients you can only find in specialty stores.... Or so we thought.
One night during a heated discussion of adverse possession in her property class, Becca turned to the internet to see if there were any organic delivery options in New Jersey. Plenty of her friends in the city use Fresh Direct to get their groceries, there had to be some option for us. As it turns out there is.
Door to Door Organics (https://tristate.doortodoororganics.com/) provides a box of organic vegetables/fruits to your door. You can choose frequency, size, and even substitute out fruits/veggies that you want or need. We opted for the small local farm box which included the following items: (3) Bartlett Pears, (1) Romaine Lettuce, (3) Roma Tomatoes, (1)White Onion, (1) Red Cabbage, (1) Eggplant, (1) Green Bell Pepper, and 0.5 lb Green Beans.

The fruits and vegetables were incredibly fresh and vibrant. We still can't get over the color of the onion and green pepper. Door to Door Organic also has the option of adding meat, fish, poultry, plus more to your box at an additional charge. We opted for some Pork Bratwurst, Salmon Filets and Alaskan Cod (it was on sale).
The box itself was $27.00 plus the added meats and fish brought our total up to $55.00 which we thought was right on par for shopping at a food store but we never had to go through the hassle of actually going there. So far we are incredibly happy with this company but we'll keep you posted once we actually try some of their products!
